Monkey Business
NOTICE ABOUT THE WEB VERSION
Confirmed to work best with Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Vivaldi, etc), but have also tested with Safari and some Firefox-forks (such as Zen) successfully. The main Firefox browser may have issues with the web version.
Once you are running the game, a short title cut scene starts. You should hear music right away. If you don't, you may have to click on game window just to make sure it is in focus. You will eventually see a "Press Enter" message to start the game.
To see the controls and objective, press "Enter" or "Esc"
About the game
Go deep undercover and make copies of blueprints and retrieve incriminating documents! Be a monkey! Espionage!
About the people
Code, Audio, Music: Tim Chimes
Art: Ryan Neff
This was made for the Love2D 2025 Game Jam. All art, sounds, and music were created during the jam.
Playing the game
To run on Windows, download the MonkeyBusiness.zip file. Unzip it anywhere you'd like. Open the folder that was unzipped, and you will see the MonkeyBusiness.exe file. Just open this file to start playing!
As this was created for the Love2D Love Jam 2025 game jam, a MonkeyBusiness.love file has also been provided. This was built using Love version 11.5.
If you have Love2D installed, either drag the MonkeyBusiness.love file onto the main love.exe file, or you can run it from the command line by running the command love MonkeyBusiness.love (note, this only works if love.exe is in your PATH). I believe you can also simply double click.
If you do not have Love2D installed, you will need to install either the Windows or MacOS .zip file.
For Windows, unzip the file, open the MonkeyBusiness folder, and open the .exe file.
For MacOS, unzip the file, and run the MonkeyBusiness file that comes from the zip file. You'll probably get a warning, so you'll need to go to Settings/Security, and click "Open Anyway".

Cool game!
Do you plan on creating more levels later?
Thanks!
Well this was made for a game jam, so we had to make the scope a little small.
We are hoping to expand on this a bit more in the future. We'll see!
